Monitored kite navigation

Home > Activities > Kite > Monitored kite navigation

" The supervised navigation service is aimed at those who wish to benefit from our supervision. We will present our practice site to you and we will help you get into the water by reminding you of the safety and priority rules. The site can be quite busy. We recommend that you be sure of your navigation. If not, we are here ! "

FAQs

Supervised navigation is reserved for those going upwind. The minimum level required is to know how to get closer to the wind. A practitioner who does not know how to rig, move on foot with his kite, put on the board and glide as close as possible to the wind will have to take a lesson.

Two solutions are possible and decided by your instructor. It will take into account the variables necessary for the safety of the group such as site attendance, the level of the students on the day, the quality and power of the wind, their personal state of fatigue. He can then decide to:

  • Make you stop the lesson if he believes that we are not succeeding in ensuring the safety of our students.
  • Make you continue the course and charge you the price of a first session at the school of 170EUR. This is the price of a first session in a group of three people in high season.

Monitored navigations can be reserved, for the moment, by telephone or email. They are confirmed, like all our courses, the day before for the next day. Sometimes we confirm in the morning for the afternoon. This is often the case in summer conditions when we have a thermal wind regime. We remind you that lessons take priority over supervised navigation.

These flexible options require payment on the day of the service. Before or after the session.

Cash at the counter, bank card, we have a TPE at the counter and instant transfer. We do not accept checks.

The supervised navigation sessions allow you to benefit from our boat shuttle to access the practice site. We will introduce you to “our office” and its specificities. Our role is also to help you gain self-confidence if you need it. This is why we will check your equipment before takeoff, we will remind you of the essential priority and safety rules on the drawbridge practice site.
During “peak hours”, the site has already had more than 300 kiters. We remind you that the sandbank is 14km long. There is therefore no problem of over-crowding of the site.
On the other hand, you will have to move away from the crowds which gather during takeoff and landing from the drawbridge practice site. We will be there to help you.

Yes. You must take out liability insurance. You take a service with a kite school on French territory. The legislation requires us to have you take out civil liability insurance. If you have performed at another school in the last twelve months, it is very possible that you are already insured. We will ask you for your certificate.

Yes, you will join us alongside our kite lessons. You will benefit from a boat shuttle to access the practice site as well as boat security linked to your practice if you need it.

The supervised navigations last the time of a Kite lesson. They vary between 2H30/3H to 3H30/4H. It depends on the size of the current group you are going to join. We will inform you the day before for the next day. If you have any requirements, let us know.

If the course you are joining is a private or semi-private course we can increase the number of people in supervised navigation. If there are more than three of you in supervised navigation with equipment, you can privatize an instructor. This is why the number is 6.
We stop monitored browsing at one or two in most cases. This allows us to concentrate on our core business, teaching and not supervision. Our material and human resources are limited.
