"The “Semi-private kite” service allows you to privatize our instructor and his boat for two people. This is an excellent option to benefit from a service with reduced numbers that is more affordable than a private lesson."

The session

Two people with an instructor can cover all wind conditions in a semi-private course.
In case the weather conditions are below 12 knots we suggest that both people have the same level or similar wishes. This will allow you to follow a session in accordance with your expectations or your common needs.
In the event that the wind is strong (28 knots and more) we reserve the right to reduce the number of people to one person for one instructor. This will depend on your experience and the level of the other person.

For more details on the course of the semi-private lessons depending on the weather conditions, a document listing the Weather Gauges is at your disposal.

FAQ

  • Lessons with small numbers are private and semi-private lessons. In other words, the instructor will provide the session to one or two people.
  • Our group lessons include a staff of three people for one instructor. Unlike the majority of schools in France which provide group lessons for 4 people, our experience has made us opt for a reduced number of students.
This allows us to continue teaching with passion and to provide you with maximum security. With us, you will benefit from each of your sessions.
  • More monitor attention and radio feedback to promote your progress.
  • More likely that group levels will be similar. The progression is smoother and more stimulating.
  • More technical demonstrations from your instructor who has more time to take your Kite and show you in real life.
  • You save time and energy. The session requires less recovery time. You are able to start the next session in great shape in case you wish to continue the courses.

The course will take place in deep water or shallow water. You must choose. We will not be able to respond, in the same course, to an objective taking place in deep water and another objective taking place in shallow water. If the choice is too complicated, you can always find another person with a similar session goal.

We recommend drift progressions for people wanting to accelerate their goals of getting out of the water with the board (waterstart), their first glides until gaining speed on both sides. For the final stage of going upwind, the environment doesn’t matter. Deep or shallow water, both environments are conducive to good progress with slightly faster progression in deep water.

Most other course objectives will be more favorable in shallow water. They will allow you to obtain a level of practice allowing you to really navigate without the assistance of a school.

Although a semi-private course with reduced numbers allows you to benefit from more personal support, we must still meet the objectives of two people at the same time. This can be a hindrance for one or the other if you need to evolve in two different environments. If we have a request for progression in drifting with the boat and a request for improvement on flat water, close to the sandbank, we will not be able to honor both requests on the same course.

If one person is at waterstart and requires boat instruction to accelerate their progress and the other person wants to work on freestyle improvement tricks, we will have difficulty fully optimizing the progress of both people because a request is made in deep water, drifting, while the second request occurs near the sandbank in a flat body of water. You will have to make a choice or find another person with a similar level.

The set-up time decreases as soon as the number of students in the course is lower. You also benefit from more ongoing, low-staff advice over a shorter period of time. In other words, your progress is much faster in a small group and you will practice as much as in a group class. If you still have energy, we don’t have any other classes afterwards and our instructor wants to extend the session, we can extend the session.

These courses are more expensive because our instructor is busy with fewer people. This directly impacts the price of the service.
In addition, if our boat intervenes in your progress process, our fuel costs are considerably increased.
