FAQs

We remind you that you must be insured to practice kiting in France. Liability and individual accident insurance (optional) are required. The drawbridge practice site can be very busy and the risk very often comes from others. Tangles are common, if you are not insured, take out our insurance online. It’s simple, quick and you will be covered for 12 months at a rate of €39.

We recommend wearing :

  • Shoes as there may be some sharp sea urchins and shells.
  • Sunglasses. When the tramontane (N.W. wind) blows, the sun is in front of you. As a beginner you will definitely have the sun in your eyes. If you know how to ride, the light on the water can be strong. That’s why we recommend sunglasses anyway.
  • Stick sunscreen to protect against sunburn. This cream is able to hold up in water. Water splashes and drops will allow the cream to stay on your face. It’s good for you and for the lagoon.
  • Water : You should bring water so you can stay hydrated throughout your session. We remind you that you must walk 20 minutes to access the practice site!
  • Towel and kway if you come as a spectator. This will protect you from the wind.

The sandbank is almost 1km away ! This 15 to 20 minute walk with your equipment will allow you to warm up. It is strictly forbidden to take off from the parking lot. We thank you for respecting this rule. Our fishermen friends and environmental protection associations keep an eye on the site. We do not want to lose another practice site, it is not the first to be closed by the authorities. Please rig like everyone else: On the sandbar.
